• The Team - Angel Racing is a family based team that has been together since 1991. More than just a financial commitment, they have helped develop the sport into what it is today. Their investment in auto racing has a proven track record – reflected in increased competition and achievements each year.

  • The Driver - Shane Biles - He began his career in drag racing in the early 1980’s. In 1988 he converted to oval track, racing in the Bomber class at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe WA. Shane, a seriously committed race car driver, progressed into the Winston Racing Series Super Stock class in 1994. His move to the Super Stock class is a reflection of his desire to climb the NASCAR ladder. The NASCAR North West Tour is the next logical step toward the top.

  • The Crew Chief - Renee Angel (Shane's wife) - She has been involved in racing since 1983, both as a driver and crew member. In 1995, Renee was voted by her peers, the True Value Gold Wrench Award winner. This is the most prestigious award a crew chief can receive. Renee’s understanding of cars and engines is backed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.

  • The Crew
    Ron Angel (Renee's Dad) - Ron has been involved with racing of many types since his teens. He has built chassis and engines that he himself has raced. Ron currently builds and maintains the engines for the car that Shane drives. He also builds engines for several racers at local tracks around Washington.
     
    Tom Hibbs - Tom was a member of a winning Figure 8 team before coming to help Angel Racing. He is an auto mechanic by trade and his skills help out when it comes to working on the cars. He performs routine maintenance and radio communication during the race.
     
    Steve Ptacek - Steve is a International Karting Federation National Duffy winner. He has been around racing for many years. He has tremendous attention to detail and does excellent finish work. He ensures all the nuts and bolts are tight and helps out in the pits during the race.  His wife, Jeanne is our head scorer
     
    Sam Logan - Sam's induction to Angel Racing was fueling the car for us at the 2000 Portland International Raceway road race.  He was introduced to us by a local Evergreen Speedway racer Marty Sokulski.  He does many different tasks from cleaning the car to loading the pit cart.
